Makka’na pressed her head down again, “Mighty and Eternal Ka Gor’na, my love for you is never ending. It is my armor in time of pain, and food in my time of hunger. If I fail today, then many may die, and the great and powerful evil will roam these lands.
But I go off knowing even if I fail, your eternal love will cleanse the evil long after I am gone.”
Taking sword, ring and boots, Makka’na mounted her fire spirit. With her mane of flowers, and her shining armor, she gave one last loving look back at her home, the pit in the ground she had been borne in.
She didn’t know if she would ever see it again.
